GALA RECITAL on the occasion of the NATIONAL DAY OF ROMANIA and the CENTENARY CELEBRATION of ROMANIA’S GREAT UNION
(1918-2018)

Irresistible Alexandra Dariescu, one of the best young pianists in the world, performs at the Gala Recital on the occasion of the National Day of Romania and the Centenary Celebration of the Making of United Romania in 1918. Hosted by the prestigious Merkin Hall on 26 November and jointly organized by the Romanian Cultural Institute in New York and the Permanent Mission of Romania to the United Nations, with the support of RA-Entertainment, the much-awaited recital will offer a musical itinerary through 100 years of Romanian music with pieces composed by greats as George Enescu and Dinu Lipatti.

Introductory remarks by H.E. Dr. Ion Jinga, the Romanian Ambassador to the UN, and RCI New York Director Dorian Branea.

Followed by a reception.
